Summary

This is a key post as a Cover Supervisor
The successful candidate will take up their post from 2 September 2024, subject to satisfactory clearances. Our current team of Cover Supervisors work to cover lessons in teachers’ absence, as directed by our Cover Administrator, and are line managed by our Deputy Headteacher (Behaviour, Inclusion, and Ethos). Work is provided either by the absent teacher or by their Head of Subject. Cover Supervisors also help by taking a register should a Tutor be absent from school, attending an Assembly, or by working as an Associate Tutor supporting students. In addition, Cover Supervisors lend other support by taking a Duty or helping with administrative tasks. We provide excellent development for our Cover Supervisors with many going on to pursue a career in teaching. For those already qualified as a teacher, we are sometimes able to offer a temporary teaching contract.This post provides a unique opportunity to develop new skills in a school which has a compelling vision and deep commitment to providing exceptional teaching and learning.The RoleThis post is 35 hours per week and graded BG8, term time only + 5 INSET days. The BG8 salary is currently £26,873 rising to £28,770 per annum (gross). Working term time only will impact on the actual salary paid.
