CATERING ASSISTANT
25 HOURS PER WEEK MONDAY TO FRIDAY, 9AM – 2PM
TERM TIME ONLY INCLUDING INSET DAYS
ACTUAL ANNUAL SALARY: £12,562 PA
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic catering assistant to join the busy catering team, working term time only (including 5 INSET days).
The Tiffin Girls’ School is driven by creating a positive food culture and helping our students eat better, healthier food. This role will support the catering team to provide the highest-level quality of student meals, working towards excluding processed food from the menu offer, adhering to health and safety and food compliance standards.
We aim to provide healthy attractive food options for students with limited budgets. Serving time is limited and we need a fast and speedy operation to prevent queues developing.
The ideal candidate will:
• Preferably have a catering background, qualification or passion in catering work
• Appreciate the need for high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in a commercial kitchen
• Enjoy working with young people
• Enjoy working under pressure as part of a very busy team
The successful candidate will already have relevant Food Hygiene qualifications or must be prepared to undertake training.
