Here's where you'll make a difference

An ideal Senior Data Architect will need to be able to display broad and deep technical experience with a passion for engineering excellence. We are looking for a dynamic and adaptable individual, able to use and learn new skills in varying circumstances. You'll be curious about technology and understanding how things work and influence positively - demonstrating the right values and behaviours and encouraging this in team members.

What you'll be doing...

  • * Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable and robust cloud-native data architectures.
    * Develop and maintain comprehensive data models (conceptual, logical, and physical) to support business processes and requirements.
    * Design and optimize real-time data streaming solutions to ensure high availability, low latency, and efficient data processing.
    * Implement and promote a data mesh architecture, ensuring decentralized data ownership and domain-oriented data products.
    * Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of data architecture with business goals and product mindset.
    * Establish and enforce data architecture guidelines, standards, and best practices.
    * Evaluate and recommend data management tools, technologies, and practices.
    * Oversee data integration and interoperability across various data sources and systems.
    * Ensure data quality, consistency, security, and compliance across all data platforms.
    * Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior data architects and data engineers.
    * Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in data architecture, data modelling, real-time data processing, and security.
    * Work extensively with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and leverage its services to build and manage data architectures.

We would be looking for the following...

  • * Minimum of 7 years of experience in data architecture, data modelling, and real-time data streaming.
    * Strong proficiency in data modelling techniques and tools.
    * Proficiency in SQL and experience with NoSQL databases.
    * Strong understanding of data mesh principles and product mindset in data management.
    * In-depth knowledge of data security practices and compliance requirements.
    * Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically about data architecture.
    * Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    * Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    * Certifications in data architecture or related fields are a plus.
