NEWCo LTD’s team are made up of experienced time served Welders and Fabricators who are dedicated to passing on the knowledge and skills to our apprentices.
As an apprentice Fabricator/Welder, you will attend college.
Your apprentice program will focus on the following: -
Year 1 - Completing Performing Engineering Operations (PEO) SVQ Level 2 & NC Modules
As an Apprentice Welder Fabricator, your duties include: -
College Duties/ Responsibilities
Attend college at the times associated with the qualification and agreed by tutors and managers
Complete the required work associated with module assessments in a timely manner
Raising issues early when not meeting required deadlines
Working in the workplace during college holidays
Work Duties/ Responsibilities
Learn and adhere to all safe practices, processes and PPE
Work professionally and respectfully with other apprentices, time served colleagues and supervisor team
Safely setting and operating shop floor welding plants, machinery and tooling
Accurately measuring and working to the product specification tolerances
Develop MIG and TIG welding to a high standard
Assemble jobs and projects as part of a team and individually
Ensure work areas kept in a safe and tidy manner
Learn how to use manufacturing drawings
Any other tasks required.
