Connect Appointments have a new opportunity for an Accounts Assistant/Receptionist to join our Glenrothes based client.

What's on offer? A full-time permanent opportunity, working Monday to Friday; with a competitive salary based on experience.

As an Accounts Assistant/Receptionist, your duties will include, but not limited to:

  • Carry out basic HR responsibilities including confidential filing
  • Inserting and updating information on time and attendance system
  • Producing statements, remittance advice
  • Processing Management expenses and maintenance of petty cash book
  • General administration duties
  • Answer switchboard and transferring calls; informing staff of calls/visitors
  • Open and sort mail daily including emails
  • Complete visitor book, issue passes and direct visitors to relevant personnel
  • Make tea/coffee for visitors
  • Book accommodation/restaurants for visitors
  • Train new administration staff to use phone system
  • Keep conference room clean and tidy

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have previous related experience working within an office environment. Other key skills and traits include:

  • Experience with Sage - advantageous but not essential
  • Experience of data entry to a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Efficient administration skills
  • IT literate and proficient in use of MS Excel
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Ability to collate information from a range of sources
  • Team player, ability to work collaboratively and alone
