Crynodeb
Develop good working relationships with medical and nursing staff and other members of the multidisciplinary team within and in other departments within the Trust and external organisations and agencies. Assist lead nurse in providing nursing leadership within the Directorate, focusing on clinical issues for nursing staff within sphere of responsibility. Act in accordance with the NMC guidelines/code of Professional Conduct. Receive regular appropriate supervision and mentorship from a Consultant Paediatrician and Advanced Paediatric Nurse Practitioners (APNPs) in line with recommendations from the relevant academic institution where MSc is being undertaken. Assess the health status of infants, children and young people through physical examination and diagnostic studies in consultation with Paediatricians and relevant members of the health care team. Perform selected and approved diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in accordance with ratified protocols and the Code of Professional Practice.
