We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join a group of Dr Francesco Boccellato at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research, Nuffield Department of Medicine.

You will be responsible for managing your own academic research and administrative activities. You will design and perform original research and develop new scientific techniques. You will provide help to Dr Boccellato in keeping an enthusiastic and productive environment in the lab, by training and support junior lab members. You will be overseeing the daily housekeeping of the laboratory area, and operating laboratory equipment used for all aspects of cell/molecular biology/biochemistry. Additionally, you will collaborate in the preparation of scientific reports, attend appropriate scientific seminars and act as a source of information.

It is essential that you hold a DPhil/PhD degree (or close to completion) in a life science field together with experience/background in developmental biology or stem cells biology or host response to infections. You will have experience in analysing tissues and previous laboratory experience relevant to the project. You will have excellent communication skills and able to write for publication, present research proposals and result and represent the research group at meetings. Having experience in analysing transcriptomic or proteomic data is essential.
