Summary

Digital Workforce Solutions: Scope and research evidence based digital workforce solutions, which bring about real benefits and efficiencies to the Trust, staff, managers, and patients, and support the achievement of the NHS People Plan. Working in collaboration with other key stakeholders, and with the support of the Associate Director of Workforce Transformation and Planning, develop business cases and other associated reports and documents to secure organisational support to implement and develop digital workforce solutions and digital workforce transformation. Project manage the implementation of digital workforce solutions and developments, reporting and presenting progress to relevant meetings and committees. Develop mechanisms to evaluate the impact of digital workforce solutions. Monitor, measure and report on benefits and efficiencies realised. Lead development and oversee the implementation of plans to improve the use of existing Trust Workforce solutions, including ESR. Take the lead, on behalf of the HR & OD Team, to explore how the service can make the best use of technology and digital solutions to deliver outstanding HR and OD services for our people. Ensure functionality of workforce systems are maximised, and that the highest standards of data and information is maintained. Workforce Analysis: Working closely with the Associate Director of Workforce Planning & Transformation, support workforce planning and workforce transformation programmes across the Trust, with bespoke and complex workforce reporting, information, and analysis. Work with a variety of internal and external data warehouse and benchmarking tools, to present workforce reports and analysis of the most up to date and valid comparators for Trust workforce data. Analyse data themes and trends with the overall aim of achieving data targets, providing support to subject matter experts, clinical leads, and HR colleagues as necessary. Support the development of the Trusts use and understanding of workforce benchmarking data, especially amongst senior HR colleagues and Senior Managers, Clinical and Professional Leads within the Trust. Present workforce reports and workforce analysis, and provide detailed commentary at relevant internal and external Trust/Committee Meetings Provide expert advice and guidance on both the approach to and on specialist analyses and best use of the information available on Trust systems. Carry out, on a continual basis, research into innovative workforce reporting and analysis, applying the learning from this research to develop more effective mechanisms for workforce reporting, analysis, and review. Workforce Reporting: Engage and work with key stakeholders to establish the range and timing of workforce reports, dashboards and analysis, ensuring that these provide comprehensive, accurate and useful workforce data and insights, which can support decision making and the development of short- and long-term plans and strategies. Incorporate user feedback in further development of the reports and analysis. Support the Workforce Analyst to ensure a programme of robust and sustainable workforce reporting is in place, and that the skills and capacity exists within the HR & OD team to respond to both regular and ad hoc requests for data, reports and analysis. Produce complex workforce reports as and when required. Utilise workforce modelling and forecasting techniques to predict future need and demand. Leadership & Management: Deputise for the Associate Director of Workforce Transformation & Planning, as and when appropriate. Provide overall leadership and line management to the Workforce Analyst role, and other designated staff. Manage a delegated budget ensuring an effective use is made of departmental allocation. Develop and deliver training for managers in relevant subject areas. Attend meetings, seminars etc, as appropriate to role, feedback and present relevant points to the wider HR team. Lead the development and implementation of Trust wide policies and procedures relating Workforce information and digital workforce transformation. Service Development: Develop processes and systems to seek user feedback on the work undertaken by the team, to ensure the highest standards of customer service can be achieved. In conjunction with the Associate Director of Workforce Transformation, take the lead in developing action plans and responses to recommendations identified from internal and external audits relating to workforce analytics and digital systems. Work across the HR & OD Team, and with colleagues outside of HR & OD function to ensure recommendations from audits are implemented. Work closely with colleagues across other departments and external organisations to share best practice, reduce duplication and bring about further innovation, transformation, and efficiencies. Support the development and implementation of the workforce elements of the Trusts Digital Strategy. Participate in relevant internal and external working groups/projects, services and initiatives to provide, information and analytical advice and expertise.
