Summary

Wellspring Academy Trust is a growing Multi-Academy Trust with 31 Academies across Lincolnshire, Yorkshire and the Humber. As a Trust we are committed to making a difference to the lives and life chances of the young people and the communities we serve.

As the Trust continues to grow our roles offer pathways for ambitious and dynamic individuals who are determined to make a difference. We value our people; collegial working at all levels is central to our culture. High quality induction training and ongoing professional development support are guaranteed.

We are interested in hearing from people who:

• Are self-motivated, customer-focused and organised.
• Enjoy working as part of an inclusive team.
• Have a commitment to supporting the work of education leaders and who are
passionate about learning.

About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time Human Resources Officer within our Human Resources Team. This is part of the Trust’s Central Support Team in Barnsley. The role will be partly based at our head office in the centre of Barnsley, with some home working. The days of work are preferably Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Alternatively, we can consider the hours worked over more days, as shorter hours. We do operate flexi-scheme and have excellent benefits. The successful applicant will be experienced in all aspects of the HR function preferably from a school/academy or local government setting.

Key role duties include:

• Assisting with all Central Support Team recruitment, safer recruitment checks,
and personnel files management.
• Reports for the Trust, including termly, statutory and ad hoc.
• Advising our academies and central managers on a number of HR matters,
providing advice on NJC regional terms and conditions of employment as well
as conditions for teaching staff.
• Advising our academies and central managers on safer recruitment checks
and practices, and academy contracts of employment, will also feature in this
role.

If you have the ability to build strong team professional relationships and work with internal and external stakeholders, this could be the ideal post for you and provides an excellent opportunity to work with an Academy Trust.
