Management and organisation of work through the team. Support students within the environment who come to learn. Undertake specific ophthalmic nursing care / skills as required by the service. Work within the MDT team. Communicate effectively with the MDT/Patients/Relatives and staffing team. Act as a role model within the ophthalmic team. Assume responsibility of the environment in the absence of a manger. Be responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care. Assist in developing an environment that supports the value of nursing care. Carry out clinical duties in accordance with National, Trust and local standards and policies. Advise patients/clients of the promotion of health and prevention of illness. Take responsibility for the correct use and operation of medical equipment in accordance with relevant Trust and national guidance.
