Summary & Purpose of the Role
As the Deputy Security Supervisor at Gunwharf Quays, you play a crucial role in supporting the Security Management in maintaining consistently high standards of security, safety, and customer care. This position requires effective communication, leadership, and proactive management to ensure the smooth operation of security activities within the Centre.
Responsibilities:
-Delivering results that meet and / or exceed the Key performance indicators / Service Level Agreement for the customer through full responsibility and accountability, providing a service that aids in the retention of the contract.
-Liaise with the Security Supervisor throughout the shift to ensure effective coordination.
-Ensure security officers adhere to Centre assignment instructions and carry out their duties accordingly.
-Monitor the correct attire of security team members, allocate tasks, and oversee incident handling.
-Deliver daily briefs to the security team and conduct debriefs after incidents.
-Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols during building patrols.
-Assist with emergency procedures and provide support in managing incidents.
-Collaborate with the Security Supervisor in staff management tasks, attending meetings, and actively participating in management groups.
-Assist in staff training, delivery, and identification of training needs.
-Lead by example, displaying exceptional customer service skills.
-Demonstrate a proactive and professional approach to security.
-Manage traffic effectively within the premises.
-Handle security matters related to the night-time economy.
-Complie and deliver effective reports
-Ensure the correct use of the URIM app is adhered to by brands and liaise with brands to encourage the use of the crime reporting tool.
Skills and Experience:
-Good communication (both written and oral) and customer service skills.
-Experience in leading a team.
-Valid SIA Licence (Door Supervisor/Security Guarding).
-A valid CCTV Licence is desirable but not essential.
-Reliability, self- motivation, and ability to use own initiative and work without supervision.
-Ability to operate in a pressurised environment.
-An interest in the continuous improvement of the Company's performance.
-The nature of the role is such that it is essential that the post holder has and will maintain an excellent record of attendance and timekeeping.
