Your new company
Hays Education are always looking for a Teaching Assistant to join a well-established primary school in the Wigan area. This job role will start in September until December but has the potential to be extended. This school is rated 'Good' by Ofsted, and it is a vibrant, inclusive school at the heart of the community, committed to providing a safe, happy and secure environment for our children.
Your new role
In the role of teaching assistant, you are responsible for supporting pupils either during lessons, in a group setting or on a 1:1 basis, providing extra support when pupils may be struggling across KS2. You should possess good behaviour management skills and have recent experience working with children, particularly in secondary education. For these roles you will need to come in and hit the ground running by building up those relationships with pupils as well as staff.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing this position, you must have recent experience working with children, ideally in an educational setting. You should be available to start in September and commit fully to the role. SEN experience would also be desirable in this role, however, it is not essential as it will depend on the school you are placed in.
