The opportunity:
Linc Cymru are offering the opportunity to join our team as a Health and Safety Coordinator. The primary purpose of this role is to provide essential support to both the Health and Safety team and the Asset Management team by providing clerical, administrative, and frontline assistance as needed. This includes handling incoming enquiries from various service areas to deliver a comprehensive and customer-focused service.
The role focuses on recording, monitoring, and reporting on key Health and Safety tasks, such as Health surveillance, accident and incident reporting, and asbestos management.
What we need from you:
- Effective Communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate recording and reporting of Health and Safety tasks, incidents, and compliance data.
- Health and Safety Experience: Previous experience as a Health and Safety Coordinator or in a similar role, preferably in a similar industry or sector.
- Teamwork: High level of teamwork skills to work collaboratively with Linc staff across all departments, including covering colleagues' work during peak periods
- Travel: Willingness and ability to travel between Linc sites as required. This is an agile role, with a mixture of home, office and site based working.
- IT Skills: Strong IT skills with the ability to quickly learn new systems and software applications. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is essential.
- Basic Health and Safety Knowledge: Basic understanding of Health and Safety principles and regulations, with a willingness to learn and develop knowledge further.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues and provide solutions in a timely manner.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and workflows, and be flexible in a fast-paced environment.
