Vehicle Towbar & Service Technician required in Cardiff.
- Starting salary up to £27,000 per annum.
- Access to a sales bonus (paid quarterly) subject to hitting branch targets.
- 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm.
- Opportunity to work with one of the leading manufacturers, retailers and resellers of trailer and towing products in the UK.
Our client, a nationwide vehicle trailer/towbar specialist are currently looking to recruit a Vehicle Towbar & Service Technician for their branch in Cardiff.
This roles main objectives will be to fit towbars and service trailers while practising good housekeeping and operating within the Health and Safety Regulations. To work within the Branch Team to achieve sales/margin targets.
Reporting to the Branch Manager and working as part of a friendly team, your responsibilities shall include:
- Undertake daily duties as designated by the Branch Team and Workshop Diary
- Fit towbars to customer vehicles having first checked for marks/scratches ensuring all marks are recorded on the relevant form.
- Keep up to date with any changes to suppliers’ towbar fitting instructions including wiring via the Branch network and use of internet
- Report any problems or damage relating to customers’ vehicles/property immediately to the Branch Manager/Assistant Manager
- Service and repair the Company’s fleet of hire trailers to an agreed schedule
- Maintain and update full records of each trailer in the Company hire fleet for servicing purposes
- Assemble and modify trailers as required
In order to be eligible you shall need to live within a reasonable commuting distance of Cardiff and ideally have a UK driving licence with minimal points. Experience working in a vehicle aftermarket/fast fit Technician orientated role within the automotive industry would be highly advantageous.
Overall you will have strong customer service skills, be a team player, and have a methodical and organised approach to your workload with a focus on driving additional revenue through our client's business where possible.
