In this role, you’ll have the chance to build strong relationships with stakeholders across the designated business areas you will support. You’ll work closely with them to understand their current and future requirements and will use various mechanisms to recruit the best talent the market has to offer. In doing so, you’ll directly contribute to some of the most important and exciting deliverables across Government.

You will work in a fast-growing, constantly changing environment where you own the end-to-end hiring process for vacancies commissioned from your business areas.

Core activities are likely to include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Use and evaluate recruitment efficiency data to advise on and influence resourcing decisions;
  • Developing and owning the delivery of the resourcing plans for your allocated business areas, identifying and mitigating any resourcing risks/shortfalls;
  • Contributing to the department's brand and attraction strategy, thinking creatively about how vacancies are marketed;
  • Coaching and influencing hiring managers on diversity and inclusion practices throughout the recruitment life cycle;
  • Using exceptional communication skills to develop relationships and a sense of credibility quickly with senior stakeholders;
  • Leading on outreach activities such as delivering workshops for candidates, training for vacancy holders participating in careers fairs and managing partnerships with external job boards.
