Do you have experience of surveying, procurement and the project management of maintenance contracts? Then we have an exciting new role that might be just what you’re looking for.

Newydd Housing Association is a charitable housing association, that offers nearly 3,000 affordable homes for rent and sale to people where need is at its greatest in Mid and South Wales, working in several local authority areas.
Newydd Maintenance Ltd is built on an in-house contractor model, designed to drive quality customer services, whilst achieving substantial planned growth and expansion, potentially outside of the group. Newydd Maintenance Ltd is a subsidiary company which provides maintenance services to Newydd Housing Association.
About the role
Reporting to our Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the commercial functions of the Maintenance team which delivers a £74m+ budget per annum. You will also ensure budgets are run in an efficient and cost-effective manner across our direct labour workforce and our preferred subcontract partners.
About you
We are looking for a positive, proactive, and energetic Project Surveyor who can build on the success of an established team. You should have previous substantial experience of surveying within a commercial function, an expert knowledge of job costing techniques and a working knowledge of building procurement methods. A proven track record of success and demonstrable history of providing value for money.
With a degree level qualification in a construction related field, you will also need to be IT literate with extensive experience of MS applications and knowledge of a dynamic repairs system. This is a demanding and challenging role, and you should enjoy working effectively under your own initiative and managing a busy workload, whilst also being a team player with great customer service and communication skills. You may need to work remotely and will need access to a car with business insurance for occasional use.
