Are you an experienced Data Manager looking for a role where you can make a real impact?

At Serco, we deliver health assessments that help determine eligibility for benefits on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), and we’re looking for a Data & Insights manager to drive business improvement and adherence to best practice by using BI tools, influence, and stakeholder management.   

You’ll be part of our transformations team who are responsible for the delivery change and continuous improvement across PIP, WCA and specialist benefits within the functional assessment service. 

The role involves line management responsibility of a BI Analyst, the Data and insight manager will lead and support the BI analyst through the end
- to
- end cycle of requirements gathering, report/dashboard development, analysing and interpreting the results to highlight insights for a variety of stakeholders and improving performance for our customer. 
Key Accountabilities

To provide experienced leadership to the business intelligence arm of the transformation team and support colleagues to achieve their optimal performance.

To bring deep analyst experience to strengthen the company, improve performance and adherence.

Ability to gather a range of data from internal and external sources and cleanse this for a variety of stakeholders to use simply and effectively. 

-
Review existing or custom reports to identify performance trends, gaps and areas for improvement. 

-
Identification of areas for improvement in streamlining existing report mechanisms and methods for delivering information to stakeholders. 

-
Ability to provide stakeholders with appropriate information in a variety of formats. 

-
Build and maintain relationships with a range of senior stakeholders and set / manage expectations.

Assist in the management of transformation team improvement products. 




 What are we looking for?

Ability to line manage and support colleague to meet business expectations.

Ability to quickly understand new areas of business and technology enabling impactful and effective conversations with the stakeholders. 

-
Knowledge and experience of development within business intelligence tools and tools such as Microsoft Power BI and SAP Analytics Cloud. 

-
Strong data visualisation and presentation skills. 

-
 Data manipulation skills, including ability to extract, transform, and analyse data sets using BI tools. 

-
Ability to problem solve, break down complex issues and develop solutions based on findings in the data. 

-
 Able to simply communicate complex issues, processes, and data to a non-technical audience. 

-
Able to use influence with a range of stakeholders to reach a mutually agreeable outcome.

High customer focus with commercial awareness and a drive to deliver exceptional customer service.

Excellent attention to detail and self-starter attitude 




All candidates will be required to pass a BPSS check which will involve a full DBS check and references.
