We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual with a keen interest in sport, to support our busy PE team as a PE and School Sport Coordinator on a fixed term role.
Working under the guidance of the Head of PE and the Head of Girls’ PE, you will help:
To support the smooth and safe operation of the PE Department
To support curriculum lessons as directed to by members of the PE department
To support the organisation, planning and delivery of extra-curricular activities within the PE department.
The role will include attending and providing support in specific lessons, administrative duties, attend and supervise extra-curricular activities by arrangement, attend meetings, events and training and assist with the provision and return of equipment and resources for lessons.
There may be the opportunity to take full responsibility for the teaching of some classes if the successful candidate holds QTS or is working towards it as part of the ECT framework. Ideally you will have previous experience of working with children in an educational or coaching setting, and good interpersonal skills with both adults and children. You will be expected to operate as a member of staff, with a commitment to the Code of Conduct and safeguarding regulations.
This role is fixed term for 1 year, working from September 2024 to July 2025 for the salary of £20,847 (Grade 4, point 7 pro rata). Application closing date is 08:00 am Monday 1st July 2024, interviews will be held following the closing date
