Job Description

Step Teachers are currently working with an excellent Nursery School within Dagenham to find a SEN TA, for a part-time or full-time position. We offer competitive rates and amazing perks!

The Nursery School is very aware of the importance of children’s well-being and enabling them to grow into happy individuals that flourish. They aim to create an environment where their main focus is to strive for each child to develop a passion for learning and a sense of excitement in their achievement and that of others. The SEN TA needs to be fully flexible, passionate and having nursery experience would be advantageous.

SEN TA Role:

  • Provide one-on-one or within small groups.
  • Assist with nursery management and create a positive and safe classroom atmosphere.
  • Encourage student participation and engagement in nursery activities.
  • Help maintain a clean and organised learning environment.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.

SEN TA Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with young children, especially in a special educational needs setting, is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
  • Willingness to collaborate with teachers and support staff.
  • A commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
