Applications are invited for a committed and experienced senior Band 7 Ward and Community Nurse to lead the Nursing team at the local Hospital on the beautiful Isle of Alderney, in the Channel Islands.
The site has 14 Continuing-Care beds and 8 Acute-Care beds are used for predominantly medical admissions.
You will rotate across all areas of care, including acute admissions, elderly care and treatment rooms, while also providing community healthcare services.

Reporting to the Band 8A Lead Nurse for Alderney you will be one of the most senior Nurses on the island.
This is a unique local hospital, delivering a diverse range of healthcare services for the almost 2,300 people of Alderney, overseen Guernsey who has adopted the AfC banding system, but have applied their own salary scale.

Please note; The States of Guernsey has adopted the AfC banding system, but have applied their own salary scale. The current Band 7 salary is up to £65,789 plus an annual bonus of £1,517 and higher penalty rates; 36% evening/Saturday and 72% Sunday/BH.

The island of Alderney is in the Channel Islands, located near Guernsey and not far from the French coast.
The island boasts elegant beaches, historic fortifications, and a small castle, all part of a unique island community.

Person requirements:
Registered Nurse with full registration with the NMC.
Current or recent experience at Band 6 level or equivalent in a General/Acute Medicine role with a wide range of clinical settings.
The ability to show leadership and a
flexible approach to a totally unique rural and remote setting.
Completion of a mentorship qualification.
