If you have an interest in the marine environment and would like to play a part in ensuring the protection of Scotland's marine environment, then we would like to hear from you.
An exciting part time (17.5 hours per week) opportunity for a Quality System Scientist in our Science, Evidence, Digital and Data (SEDD) portfolio which sits within the Scottish Government’s Marine Directorate.
The main role of this post is supporting the Quality Manager in maintaining and developing the Quality System within the Marine Directorate SEDD portfolio which is accredited to ISO 17025 and ISO 17020 for a range of testing and inspection methods supporting delivery of statutory functions and long term monitoring programmes.
The post will support the system across multiple delivery areas within SEDD, and is likely to involve working with colleagues at all grades. SG operate hybrid working although this post will require a regular presence within the Marine Laboratory Aberdeen, and occasionally the Freshwater Laboratory in Pitlochry.
This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a flexible, inclusive, welcoming and supportive area of the SEDD portfolio.
This is a 24 Fixed Term Appointment with no possibility of extension.
