We are currently looking for a talented and motivated Senior/Principal CFD Engineer to join our innovative Fire Engineering team.

What does the role involve?

As a Senior/Principal CFD Engineer, you will lead the CFD input on projects as CFD project manager, working in conjunction with the overall fire engineering team for each project to validate the fire strategy concepts through CFD and advise on suitable, appropriate inputs and acceptance criteria.

To be successful in this role you’ll possess:

A fire engineering or similar engineering-based degree that is accredited by the Engineering Council, with an excellent, comprehensive knowledge of current computational modelling techniques and best practice. Experience with Pyrosim is essential. You will also have a basic knowledge of Part B of the Building Regulations 2010 and associated guidance documents such as Approved Document B (Volumes 1 and 2), BS 9991 and BS 9999. You will have experience and confidence to know the limits of CFD in supporting fire engineering approaches, where it is reasonable to use CFD in a fire engineering context and be able to articulate this to the other members of the fire engineering team and/or clients.
