Crynodeb
To act in such a way as to promote the safety and wellbeing of patients andstaff by being aware of the environmental elements of care and by complying with Trust policies in relation to Health and Safety; for eg. manual handling, fire precautions, food handling, the management of untoward incidents. To have a full understanding of the patients optimum level of mobility and to assist with the movement of patients through different care settings within the hospital. To assist patients, where necessary by the use of the appropriateaid/appliance, to achieve physical comfort whilst observing the need tominimise the adverse effects of pressure. To aid patients during their time in outpatients, demonstrating an awareness of each individuals right to privacy, dignity and personal preference. To assist patients to maintain their elimination needs.
