Would you like to come and join our Children’s Speech & Language Therapy Team in Coventry ?

An opportunity has arisen for a newly qualified or experienced Band 5 Speech & Language Therapist to join our innovative community based team working across Coventry. You would have a varied caseload of children to develop your clinical skills in a number of areas. The service is delivered in a variety of settings; nursery, mainstream and special schools and also in the city centre clinic.

The Children’s Speech & Language Therapy Team aims to provide a high quality service to children, young people and their families. We provide assessment, interventions, advice and education to children and young people aged 0-19 with a Coventry GP. We also support children in Coventry schools with an Education, Health & Care Plan. We have developed clinical pathways and a competency programme in Speech, Language, Voice , Fluency, Dysphagia, Hearing Impairment, Cleft Palate, Alternative & Augmentative Communication and young children “At Risk” of SLCN.

Further information about the team can be found on our website: www.coventrychildrensslt.co.uk

We are committed to professional development and evidence based practice, offering regular in-service CPD days and peer group / one to one clinical supervision. Mentoring and management supervision are also provided as well as support from more experienced and specialist therapists. We will support you to achieve your RCSLT Newly Qualified Therapist competencies if required. Internal and external training courses are supported.

Being a member of a large Speech and Language Therapy team of SLTs and Assistants and close working with Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy colleagues gives opportunities for lots of different clinical and training experiences.
