We are a friendly, supportive team, dedicated to delivering outstanding patient-centred care within our 8 bedded unit based at the Churchill Hospital Site. We are a nationally renowned centre for specialities such as Cancer and Haematology; Maxillofacial Surgery, and we are one of the largest transplant centres in Europe.With the combination of a fantastic team and working environment, it is a wonderful place to develop, grow and contribute to delivering the best to our patients.
About You?
We are now looking for an exceptional Unit Manager to join our leadership team.
You will be an experienced critical care nurse with operational management/bed management and be able to make decisions as well as navigate problems when they arise.
You will have strong interpersonal skills and be able to develop sound professional relationships across the whole MDT.
You will have a passion to drive through change and confident in leading new quality improvement initiatives across the unit.
As the Unit manager you will effectively manage and lead the team, ensuring the team are supported, developed and nurtured allowing the unit to ‘grow its own’.

Lead on the development of the critical care service within the Churchill Intensive Care Unit, including that of of the staff and their bespoke educational needs and professional growth requirements. Involvement in the management of patient flow for this area. Supporting the staff to deliver compassionate, excellent quality care from admission to onward discharge.
