Summary
Come and join our amazing team led by the Global Financial Controller. We are looking for a Financial Controller for Gaming & Manufacturing and will be responsible for providing management accounts, insight and analysis for the Gaming division and Bridgend Manufacturing facility. You will work with the business to ensure that drivers of performance are understood and to support in decision making. As part of the finance team you will be responsible for hitting key deadlines and ensuring audit and SOX compliance.
As part of the finance team you will be responsible for:
• Producing monthly Management Accounts for Gaming and Manufacturing division, ensuring numbers are reviewed and submitted along with month end timetable.
• Build relationships with Gaming and Manufacturing teams to understand the business, providing information and ad-hoc analysis to support in day-to-day decision making.
• Provide monthly reporting and commentary for the segment, including feeds for the Management packs.
• Line management and development of Finance Analyst.
• Analyse Divisional performance producing Profitability analysis across different customers and revenue streams.
• Provide Analysis and reporting on stock levels and material price variances, identifying opportunities to improve working capital and make cost savings.
• Provide reporting on labour and overhead absorption, ensuring rates are correct and working with Manufacturing team to identify opportunities to drive improvements.
• Work alongside Operations team to ensure correct processes are in place around stock take and stock controls, following up on variances.
• Ensure correct review and sign off in place for stock purchases and write offs.
• Build a close relationship with the Finance Business Partner supporting on Forecasting and Budgeting and ad hoc projects.
• Ensure integrity of numbers, completing balance sheet reconciliations and providing information required for Audit and SOX purposes.
• Working as part of finance team to identify and drive efficiencies across the team and ensure good communication in place.
We are a complex business so it would be fantastic if you had the following experience and skill set:
• Qualified Accountant with manufacturing experience.
• Audit background
• Experience of technical accounting matters including revenue and leases under IFRS or USGAAP.
• Have reviewed management accounts for month end and provided analysis/process improvements back to finance and the wider business.
• Good knowledge of Excel and experience of working with an ERP system (Dynamics 365 beneficial)
• Continuos improvement mindset
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to build relationships and influence others to achieve results
• Be a true team player, yet self-motivated
• Ability to prioritise workload
