- Friday Hybrid office based 2/3 days per weekSalary circa £40,000 per annum plus benefits This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated HR Data Analyst to join the Caledonian Sleeper (CSL) HR Team on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.
The HR Data Analyst will collaborate closely with stakeholders, project managers and technical teams to understand data requirements, develop migration strategies and implement data migration plans.
The HR Data Analyst will collect, compile and analyse HR Data metrics and statistics and apply data to make recommendations related to recruitment, retention and legal compliance. This position plays a vital role in collecting, structuring, analysing and reporting HR processes and data. This role will support the Head of HR and the broader business at Caledonian Sleeper.
It is an exciting time to become part of the HR team as we shape our new HR operating model, systems, and practices. You will have the opportunity to influence and shape our HR strategy and key focus areas following the transition across to Scottish Rail Holdings.
Main Accountabilities:
Data Collection and Management:
- Collect, organise and maintain HR-related data.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy in HR databases and systems.
- Extract data from legacy systems, databases any other sources using appropriate tools and methodologies.
- Transform and cleanse data to ensure accuracy, integrity and consistency during migration process.
Data Analysis, Testing and Reporting:
- Analyse HR data to identify trends and insights.
- Create reports and dashboards for HR metrics (e.g., turnover rates, employee engagement, diversity statistics).
- Provide actionable recommendations based on data analysis.
- Perform data validation and testing to ensure migrated data meets functional and technical requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve data migration-related issues and ensure project milestones are met.
- Analyse issues with field mapping, data transformation and errors.
- Troubleshoot data issues and suggest solutions.
- Conduct data quality checks.
- Identify data anomalies.
- Conduct testing of each data load.
Support HR Decision-Making:
- Collaborate with HR teams to understand their data needs.
- Analysing of people data reports to support HR strategies and decisions.
- Identify areas for improvement in HR processes using data-driven insights.
- Analysis of performance data to inform HR Operational performance and metrics
HR Systems and Tools Management:
- Manage HR software and tools.
- Ensure proper functioning and integration of HR systems.
Compliance and Data Security:
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Implement and maintain data security measures.
What you’ll need:
- A relevant HR or Business qualification
- Experience of Data Analysis in a HR function
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, R).
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
