Job Title:Fundraising Manager Main Place of Work: Linton House Clinic, Thirlestaine Road, Cheltenham, GL53 7AS and such other areas as required. Responsible to: Head of Fundraising Accountable to:Chief Executive, Cobalt Health Line management There is no line management responsibilities associated with this role Job Purpose: We are looking for a passionate and creative fundraiser with excellent relationship management and partnership building skills to join our team. You will play a pivotal role in helping us to build upon the incredible work of the team, supporting us to work together to take full advantage of some exciting opportunities the team have already cultivated, as well as identifying new opportunities to help take the charity forward. Key Relationships Cobalt staff team (including clinical staff, finance, marketing), volunteers, suppliers, donors, wider community and patients Key areas of responsibility will include: Operational Duties To increase the quantity and range of income raised by Cobalt through charitable fundraising and meet agreed income targets. Proactively engage, cultivate and secure new relationships and develop existing ones to achieve income generation targets. To develop a pipeline of opportunities and income from individuals, the community, corporates, high net worth individuals using a range of fundraising techniques. To develop and improve the systems and processes needed to increase fundraising for the organisation, including digital, media and web-based methods and tools in conjunction with wider team. Research, develop, deliver, and evaluate new approaches, offers and opportunities to increase individual giving Plan, manage and deliver successful campaigns/appeals to bring in new donors and retain existing regular giving supporters within given budgets and timescales. Implement effective stewardship strategies and engagement activities to maintain relationships and engagement, increase contributions, maximise opportunities and foster lasting loyalty. Encourage wider community to take part in fundraising activities, volunteering and other engagement activities for the charity. Offer advice, support and motivation to organisations/individuals to empower them to organise their own fundraising initiatives for the charity. Build and develop relationships within the sectors regularly representing the charity at events, networking, forums and presentations. Support and develop events if and when required. General duties and responsibilities Create and give presentations to potential supporters and donors to raise awareness of the charitys work, mission and case for support, and encourage active engagement. Work with the Supporter Relations Officer to utilise the CRM to its full potential, maintain up-to-date records, and analyse data to gain insight and inform decision-making. Monitor, evaluate and work within allocated budgets and ensure return on investment. Remain up-to-date with current best practices, innovations, and trends in fundraising. Champion change and new ways of working and actively seek out good ideas to develop the fundraising programme. Abide by charity law, due diligence processes, Fundraising Code of Practice, Data Protection legislation and other relevant regulations. Be a supportive and participatory member of the team. Act as an ambassador for the charity and the Fundraising Team. Due to the nature of the role, you will sometimes be asked to work outside of office hours on evenings and weekends and undertake national travel. Time off in lieu is provided Specific Duties Any other duties in accordance with the level of the role. Management of Resources To assist with monitoring of supplies Monitor and maintain sufficient and appropriate supplies to support the department Teamwork To work collaboratively with other departments within Cobalt Taking an active part in team meetings Champion the professional integrity of the organisation Adhere to corporate policy and procedure Advise and mentor staff members, particularly junior staff members Confidentiality Under no circumstances either during or after the end of your employment (however it is terminated) may you divulge to any unauthorised person confidential information relating to the Charity. This includes, but is not limited to, information covering patients, individual staff records, industrial relations, financial affairs, contract terms and prices or business forecasts. Data Protection If required to do so, to obtain, process and/or use information held on computer or other IT system in a fair and lawful way. To hold data only for specific registered purpose and not use or disclose it in any way incompatible with such purpose. To disclose data only to authorised persons or organisations as instructed. DBS Disclosure All appointments are subject to a satisfactory initial DBS check by the Disclosure and Barring Service and satisfactory repeat checks, carried out in line with the policy in force at the time. Failure to disclose any convictions or cautions may result in the withdrawal of the post or termination of contract. You are required to undertake the Data Protection training included in the NHS IT Governance Toolkit as instructed. Personal Development You are required to participate in the organisations annual appraisal scheme. The end of year appraisal will include a personal development review where progress made over the last year is discussed and agreed. Focus on the following years departmental and personal objectives will be identified, discussed and agreed. You are expected to maintain competency, learning new techniques and technology as required and retain records of continuing professional development (cpd) to ensure continuity of membership to your professional organisation. All staff are encouraged to participate in training/activities that will help develop their wider skills and assist them in managing their personal welfare and be attentive to the welfare of colleagues. Completion of Cobalt Healths mandatory training programme. The Environment and EMS Cobalt is committed to protecting the local and global environment and supporting the development of the concept of sustainable healthcare. To help achieve these aims Cobalt has developed an Environmental Management System (EMS) to proactively manage the charitys impact on the environment, and you have a crucial role to play within in this. In addition to attending training and any responsibilities specified within your job description above, you are required to familiarise yourself with Cobalts EMS and policies, to understand and contribute to the achievement of Cobalts environmental objectives and targets, and to provide feedback through line management or CSR Champions.
