About us
The Science Museum's world-class collection forms an enduring record of scientific, technological, and medical advancement from across the globe. As part of the world leading Science Museum Group, the Science Museum in London is known for its inspiring collections and excellent visitor experience delivered to over 3 million visitors a year!

We find that colleagues get the most from their time at the Museum when they are the most engaged versions of themselves. And we pride ourselves to be a vibrant work environment welcoming and attracting a diverse range of people.

About the roles
We are looking for a range of permanent Visitor Assistants to work in our Visitor Experience or Visitor Fundraising Teams.

In both opportunities available, you will be delivering the highest standards of customer service by providing a warm welcome at the museum entrance to our diverse museum audiences.

You will also manage visitor flow at the entrance and within the museum spaces, and look after ticketing points. You will be actively promoting all that the museum has to offer, including up selling our commercial and retail activities and encouraging Gift Aid and email opt-ins. This ensures that we meet our targets whilst providing memorable experiences.

You will find Day in the Life descriptions and more information about each Team in the Vacancy Information Packs listed under 'Attachments' on the vacancy listing on our website

As a keen team player, you enjoy working with and supporting others. Some of our stations are the most lively and busy locations in the Museum, where you can appreciate the excitement of our visitors, whilst acting with initiative during our quieter periods.
