Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Student Support Worker to join a Special Needs school setting in the Penzance, on a long-term basis.
The school are needing an experienced Support Worker/Teaching Assistant to work within their setting.
The Student Support Worker will have a strong background working within the care/education sector and will be experienced in supporting individuals with SEMH/SEN needs.
Successful applicants will have strong behaviour management skills and the ability to quickly establish and maintain positive relationships with young people, having a flexible and student-led approach to learning.

• Location: Penzance

• Contract: temporary to permanent (Long-term)
• Hours: full-time, 8.30am - 3.30pm
• Start Date: September 2024
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (ideally in an SEN/SEMH setting)
• Strong behaviour management skills and the capability to engage with students
• Resilient, charismatic, and compassionate
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year - Teaching Personnel can provide this
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH TEACHING PERSONNEL, YOU MUST:
• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional references Teaching Personnel is acting as an employment business/education recruitment agency in relation to this vacancy.
The successful candidate will be required to register with Teaching Personnel in order to fill this vacancy.
