Part time (21 hours per week), Permanent (34 weeks per year, Term time plus four weeks)

Applications are invited for the post of Academic Adviser in the Directorate of Student Life: Disability & Neurodiversity team.

The role will work alongside the team of Academic Advisers in supporting students with disabilities at the University. We have seen an increase in the number of neurodivergent students, so a large part of the role will involve providing one to one study skills support which will require the post holder to meet the DfE mandatory requirements to deliver DSA funded support. The role also includes carrying out Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD) screenings and delivering a range of workshops to staff and students.

In return we offer a competitive rewards and benefits package including:

Generous annual leave entitlement
Training and Development opportunities
Pension Scheme with generous employer contribution
Various schemes including Employee Wellbeing Programme, access to Togetherall, Cycle to Work, Season Ticket Loans, and Help with the cost of Eyesight testing.
Free parking on campus
The University supports flexible working where possible but to support current student preference for in-person support, this role requires a minimum of two days per week on campus.

The post is based in Egham, Surrey where the University is situated in a beautiful, leafy campus near to Windsor Great Park and within commuting distance from London.

For an informal discussion about the post, please contact Julie Wright on julie.wright@rhul.ac.uk or +44 (0)1784 443393.
