Harborough District Council’s vision is to work with communities in a vibrant, safe and prosperous district and to bring the best opportunities to all.
Harborough District Council is looking to recruit an experienced supervisor with knowledge of parking legislation and to manage the day to day operation of parking enforcement.
The Council monitors and enforces off street parking in Harborough and for three other district Councils within Leicestershire and on street parking on behalf of Leicestershire County Council across five local authority areas.
The role will involve supervising a team of Civil Enforcement Officers, managing the resources available within the parking services team to meet the objectives set for the delivery of the parking services across the partnership and to identify and implement service improvements to reflect the needs of the partnership.
The successful candidate will have a relevant parking services qualification or be able to demonstrate equivalent previous experience in supervising a team. Your excellent communication skills will help you to develop good working relationships with the four partner Councils as well as other external organisations. Your experience of supervising a team will ensure that you are able to proactively manage staff performance, absence, development and welfare.
There may be a requirement to work evenings, Sundays or Bank Holidays as required.
