We currently have permanent vacancies for 2 Project Support Officers (PSO) in the Talent Acquisition Coordination Team (TACT) and 2 within the People Programme Team. The successful candidates will shape, coordinate and contribute to the delivery of the programme of work which will help to achieve the ambition in the Environment Agency’s People Strategy including our aim to be the best employer for equality, diversity and inclusion in the country.
The successful candidates will be expected to work in an agile way to lend their skills to organisational priorities. You'll support our complex portfolio of projects which will ensure that we are able to respond to the climate and biodiversity emergencies and you'll help us to achieve the ambition in our five-year plan, EA2025, and beyond.
Using your experience of supporting projects/programmes, you will either work in our People Programme Team or Talent Acquisition Coordination Team as part of a collaborative three-way relationship procuring expertise from Defra Group HR professionals and working with local and national Environment Agency teams, to shape and implement projects which will enable the Environment Agency to deliver our organisational goals.

People and Inclusion is an inclusive, diverse and passionate team within the Strategy Transformation and Assurance directorate delivering effective services for our customers and people that enable better EA2025 outcomes to ensure the EA is sustainable and fit for the future.

Experience/skills required
Essential:
The successful candidates will have previous Project Support Officer experience or demonstrable experience in a coordinating administrative role.
Working as part of a team sharing skills and experience to deliver the best outcomes for the environment, ideally you will also have experience of the following:
-Ability to develop and maintain good relationships with internal and external customers.
-Delivery of work by planning, tracking, gathering and maintaining data/information.
-Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple priorities and competing demands.
-Good IT skills including the ability to use Office365, ideally but not essential including SharePoint
-Excellent communication skills are a must as you’ll be working with a diverse range of people.
-A strong focus on your own development.
-Prince2 Project Management Qualification/or equivalent (or willingness to work towards qualification)
-People Programme Team Roles require experience or a background in HR Administration
