We are working in partnership with an Ofsted 'Good' Secondary school in West Leicestershire who are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Geography Teacher to start in September. You should have a professional manner and a flexible attitude to working and timetable changes. Most importantly, you should be enthusiastic, engaging and passionate about working with young people. To be successful, you will be a Qualified Teacher (ECT's welcome to apply) and have recent experience of teaching Geography across Key Stage 3 and 4.
Job Description:
- Delivering engaging Geography lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Planning and preparing schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments.
- Monitoring student progress and providing feedback.
- Contributing to the development of the department's curriculum.
- Participating in extracurricular activities such as sports clubs and school trips.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. ECT's welcome to apply.
- Bachelor's degree in Geography or related field.
- Recent experience teaching Geography at secondary school level.
- Strong behaviour/classroom management.
- The ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members.
