NOR: 242Ysgol Ty Coch is an excellent special school located in Tonteg, 7 miles north of Cardiff and 4 miles south of Pontypridd. The Governing Body are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, hardworking, and highly effective Teaching Assistant Coordinator to support the development and professional learning of all Teaching Assistants across the organisation. A background of leading a team in a special school, early childhood development, or additional learning needs is an advantage but not essential. The successful candidate will join the school’s Wider Leadership Team. We are looking for a Teaching Assistant Coordinator who: Are dedicated to improving the quality of life of all children and their families.Are highly professional with proven management skills.Can work as part of the wider school leadership team.Can engage well with pupils with special educational needs.Can inspire, motivate, and empower staff using outstanding communication skills.Can organise staffing across a school and prioritise effectively.Understands the importance of a high-quality education for our pupils.Are confident and capable of leading teams and forming effective working relationships.Have high aspirations for themselves, our pupils, all support staff, and our school.Are willing to play with children, support them in their learning and help them make good progress.Can cover classes effectively if required.Understands the professional learning needs of teaching assistants and can plan training accordingly for their development.Will assist in personal care, feeding, changing etc.We can offer: A highly talented, hardworking, and happy staff team.A supportive and compassionate leadership team who are dedicated to achieving the very best outcomes for all our pupils.An outstanding training offer, designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of everyone.To offer candidates, the opportunity to visit the school and better understand its surroundings, environment and vision please contact us on the phone to make a telephone or in person appointment with the Headteacher.
