The School of Art, Architecture and Design at London Metropolitan University offers courses across a broad range of subject areas: Art encompassing fine art, photography and fashion photography, English literature and creative writing, theatre arts, Architecture, and Design, which includes fashion, fashion textiles and textiles, interiors, product and furniture design, and visual communication.
ABOUT THE POST
The School of Art, Architecture and Design at London Metropolitan University is seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Interior Design.
The successful applicant will have significant experience of commercial practice in interior design together with the skill and knowledge sets commensurate with a range of professional roles in the sector. Significant ability in the application of analogue and digital skills and platforms as current in the sector is essential. Professional networks that can contribute to the success of our programmes and students' learning are an advantage.
The appointee will also have experience of teaching in higher education with some responsibility for academic leadership at a module level. An understanding of the current environment of HE in respect of data-driven measures and expectations of student outcomes is expected. The postholder will embody the School's values in respect of equity and social justice in education, and be proactive in the promotion of diversity and diverse approaches to study and practice.
