Here at Edinburgh Woollen Mill, we have an exciting opportunity for a National Catering Manager to join our team. In this role you will oversee the day-to-day catering operations for our iconic tourist destination sites across the UK.

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced professional who can drive the strategy behind our catering proposition and elevate our services. If you are passionate about creating positive experiences and leading a talented team, we want to hear from you!

Key responsibilities:

-Product Offering: Develop and manage a commercially strong product offering with a focus on maximizing sales and margins.
-Supply of Goods: Oversee the supply chain, including contract negotiations and management to ensure a seamless supply of goods.
-Catering Operations: Ensure operations run smoothly and in compliance with industry standards and regulations. Monitoring performance of each site and developing and implementing timely action plans to enhance performance across your area of responsibility.
-Team Management: Lead and manage Food Service Managers (FSMs) on a national level, providing guidance and support to achieve company goals.
-Health & Safety: Implement and promote Health and Safety initiatives, guarantee your team is well-informed and adheres to Food Policies, including considerations for cultural, religious, and ethnic requirements, as well as allergies and special diets.

What we are looking for:

-Experience within a similar role
-Understanding of catering operations and compliance standards
-Proven experience in maximizing sales and managing margins
-Experience in liaising with supply chain and contract negotiation skills
-Previously managed a team - this role will have around 10-12 direct reports.
-Highly organised and a great communicator
-Trained to Intermediate Food Hygiene level (or willing to complete within first 9 months of employment)
-Full driving licence
-Comfortable with a field based role – visiting sites across the UK
