Summary
Tasks
Chooses the suitable welding equipment, such as electric arc or gas torch.
Connects wires to the power source or hoses to gases like oxygen, acetylene, argon, carbon dioxide, or electric arc, and adjusts the controls to regulate gas pressure and flow rate.
Uses a gas torch or electric arc to cut metal pieces.
Guides the electrode or torch along the weld line, removes damaged sections, and melts brazing alloy or solder to join materials.
Cleans and smooths the welded area.
Examines the completed workpiece for defects and verifies it meets the required specifications.
