Job Description
As a Bid Writer, you'll play a crucial role in sourcing, collating and crafting high-quality tenders and proposals across a range of services. You’ll add creative flair and professional expertise to tailor submissions to meet customer requirements effectively. Clear communication is essential, as you’ll work closely with key personnel across multiple departments to gather relevant information.
You'll take ownership of each submission from start to finish, thriving in a deadline-driven environment. Your goal will be to produce high-scoring tender submissions that highlight clear and tangible benefits for customers while adhering to company policies and procedures. Additionally, you'll write engaging case studies and method statements.
Reporting to the Director, you'll critically analyse tender documentation, lead kick-off meetings to present storyboards and identify key evidence required for compelling and winning submissions. When a presentation is needed, you'll confidently prepare and present to prospective customers to secure tenders and framework positions.
Key Responsibilities
· Report directly to the Director
· Develop high-quality tender submissions and proposals
· Write clear, focused method statements that highlight benefits
· Communicate with internal stakeholders to gather relevant information and evidence
· Meet the requirements outlined in the Bid Plan
· Identify and highlight key tenders and Frameworks
· Provide a plan to secure a position on Key framework agreements
· Proofread documentation before submission to the Director for sign-off
· Manage communication between clients and the company throughout the bid process on various tender portals
· Develop other company documentation as needed
· Create or manage the creation of high-quality graphics to support tender responses
· Develop a high quality tender response database with tender winning submission responses for future use and adaptation
Skills Required
· Demonstrable experience in a bid writing role
· Experience providing tender and framework submissions in the facilities/engineering sector
· Understanding and experience with securing a position on Framework Agreements
· Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment
· Excellent written communication skills and grammar
· Effective time management and organisational skills
· Proficiency in IT and related software
