Job Summary
A Programme Manager sets and follows best practices, key metrics, documentation, and training for the project managers and the projects within the organization. A Programme Manager helps the organization deliver value and achieve its strategic goals through its project operational controls.
Main Responsibilities:
-Responsible for implementation of project operational process, controls and best practice to deliver a lifecycle and variation (capital) project plan within the PFI environment.
-Create and Maintain a lifecycle plan in line with contractual obligations.
-Creation and allocation of project programmes to project managers.
-Maintaining operational tracking to achieve overall programme milestones.
-Creating & updating software mandates for data capture
-Monitor progress of project manager programmes to ensure key milestones are met effectively
-Oversee the Quality Audit of all project process data using all available auditing tools and reports
-Provide guidance to the project management team for any data amendments or Audit remedial tasks.
-Maintain an audit log and provide feedback to head of projects on project managment teams performance against process.
-Produce client reports in a timely manner ahead of agreed contractual dates using predefined templates.
-Produce adhoc client reports to support surveying information when required
-Supporting the contract in liaising with key stakeholders on their requirements and explain feasibility of their schemes to become a trusted advisor.
-Manage and produce business cases to present to the client for sign off.
-Work within the current CDM legislation and the respective duties to the role assigned.
-Identify, reduce and manage all statutory and commercial risks associated with the project they are leading through operational planning.
-Ensure Mitie QHSE practices and processes are fully embedded in each project.
-Ensure full compliance with project management policies and procedures.
-Ensures project documents are complete, current and appropriately stored.
-Produce O&M handover packs for internal handover.
-Provide timely monthly reports to the Head of Projects in an agreed format.
Designers, manufacturers and suppliers of professional lighting systems since 1936 Designers, Business Development:
-Support the Head of Projects to Identify and develop a short/medium and long term pipeline of Project and lifecycle opportunities from the portfolio of customers within Mitie. Leverage opportunities through visibility and presence on customer sites.
-Liaise with colleagues to determine and identify project opportunities. Use case studies to promote business and host key decision makers on show site tours.
Building Relationships:
-Build strong effective working relationships with our customers, site teams and internal departments.
Commercial Awareness:
-Ensure all contractual obligations are met through implementation of operational process and documentation.
-Ensure all projects are managed through company policies and procedures in relation to commercial activities.
The Project Process:
-Define and understand the scope of work to meet the customer's specification.
-Define the project plan and programme to deliver the works.
-Make sure all O&M manuals are complete and available prior to practical completion.
