The Opportunity:
This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join the expanding Research Governance, Compliance & Risk team. Situated in the Research Integrity and Ethics area of the team, the post holder will play an important role in supporting and enabling key activities of the team, including providing support for the implementation of the ethics review system, and coordinating research integrity and ethics related networks across the University
You will work closely alongside other members of the team and colleagues from across the Edinburgh Research Office, as well as other integrity and ethics related professional service and academic colleagues in Colleges and Schools.
Your skills and attributes for success:
Experience of working in a similar or related role.
Understanding of the research integrity landscape in the UK, including the UK concordat to support research integrity.
Familiarity with current issues in research integrity in the university environment across a range of areas, in particular relating to ethical review.
Experience of managing a complex and diverse workload, identifying priorities and being flexible when they shift, while still meeting key targets.
Understanding of relevant regulations and codes of practice and the risks of non-compliance.
