A Vacancy at The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to support the management of MSK outpatient and elective orthopaedic therapy services in the Trust.
This post will be a permanent contract and will either be 1.0 full-time post or potentially up to 1.2 WTE if 2 staff working as job shares appointed.
The post holder/s will need to have extensive clinical experience in the field of musculo-skeletal outpatients either as a Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist. Band 8a experience already is an advantage, but previous NHS experience in an MSK / orthopaedic setting at band 7 level is essential
This post will reflect both clinical and team leadership, and a significant managerial role to support, and appropriately deputise for the Therapy Manager, in the day to day running of the therapy service, and supporting service development and evaluation. The post holder/s may occasionally need to see a small clinical caseload.
The post holder may be expected to work at either of the Trusts two hospitals, Hillingdon Hospital, Uxbridge and Mount Vernon Hospital, Northwood, or across both sites as needed
To provide delegated, day to day operational management and professional leadership to Outpatient Physiotherapy at Hillingdon Hospital, Inpatient and Outpatient Physiotherapy at Mount Vernon Hospital and Inpatient Occupational Therapy services at Mount Vernon Hospital.
To work with the Therapy Manager in developing the strategic direction of therapy services across both the Trust and Borough wide strategic frameworks.
To work collaboratively with the Therapy Manager to ensure both clinical and managerial systems are in place to maintain effective and safe delivery of The Service.
To ensure that all staff receive appropriate professional support and supervision, providing them with strong leadership, support, guidance and development opportunities, in conjunction with the Therapy Manager.
To take a lead role in optimising the use of resources and proactively addressing changes in service need.
The post holder/s will be joining a friendly team of around 60 staff across the 2 sites including Advanced Clinical Practitioner / Extended Scope Practitioners, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Therapy Assistants and Administrative staff.
