Summary


**12 month fixed term position **

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our busy Medical Illustration team.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the Medical Illustration team within the University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW). Medical Illustration provides a comprehensive clinical photography and video service across University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust and Somerset.

The post holder will provide support to the Medical Illustration team to take clinical photographs across University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW). This post involves communicating effectively with medical illustration staff, patients, and healthcare professionals in order to help us provide the best service we can.

You should be a well-organized person who can work well under pressure with the ability to prioritize your own workload within a team with shared objectives.

As a developing Medical Illustration service, the post holder will be expected to be flexible, proactive, and embrace change positively as and when the service develops.


• To provide specialist clinical photography as and when the service demand dictates, in any location.
• Work within data protection and information governance policy and legislation.
• Always providing dignity and privacy to patients.
• Communicate in a sensitive and empathetic manner with patients that are emotional, distressed or in pain. There may be barriers to communication.
• An understanding of consent and confidentiality issues is required (Caldicott, GDPR and Data Protection Act).
• Works with qualified clinical photographers to deliver clinical imaging services.
