LTF Recruitment are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support students in a welcoming secondary school located in the Derby, DE1 area. The successful candidate will join a supportive and successful school, taking a positive approach to supporting students with a passion for helping them to reach their full potential. There is a permanent opportunity for this role.
Role Responsibilities:
- Offer individualised support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with students, staff and parents to build a supportive network
- Collaborate closely with teachers to understand the students learning styles, strengths and challenges of individual students
- Cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom culture that fosters a sense of value and support for all students
- Develop positive relationships with students, guiding them in adhering to school rules and expectations
Person Specification:
- A relevant qualification or degree is desirable
- Experience of working with secondary school students/within a simliar setting
- Demonstrate the ability to work with diverse learning needs
- An Enhanced DBS and two references are a requirement for this role
