Crynodeb
A comprehensive training programme will be delivered to level 4 standards by attendance at a recognised college of further education or pharmacy training organisation providing the knowledge component of the Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Technicians and supported by further skill-based training in each rotational area. To undertake roles and responsibilities defined by the GPhC as part of the Pre-registration trainee Pharmacy Technician training in order to register as a Pharmacy Technician. The qualification will be a combination of study and demonstrating competence within the workplace. An ability to cope with the discipline of studying whilst working as part of a team throughout a busy department is essential; therefore, a professional approach is vital. Participate in each rotation in accordance with a structured training programme and complete competencies for each section as defined. There will be a designated Educational Supervisor and a structured package of training for each rotation. Rotations include: Inpatients dispensary. Clozapine co-ordination. Medicines Management. Procurement and distribution. Specialist clinical experience. Community Mental Health Team visits. Whittington health NHS Foundation Trust.
