Do you hold a PhD in experimental chemistry, surface engineering or a related subject? Do you have a strong background in data analysis? Would you like to work with an industry leading company to develop novel surface treatments?
The University of Leeds has an opportunity for you to ‘fast track’ your career in industry by leading a project to develop advanced cold-cure adhesive techniques for application in bonding aluminium panels. Through a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP), you will be working in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary, globally facing manufacturer, BCW Treatments, and Leeds University’s School of Chemical & Process Engineering.
As a KTP Associate, you will be expected to manage this project and effectively transfer knowledge from the academic knowledge base at The University of Leeds to BCW Treatments. You will be working closely with academics in the School of Chemical & Process Engineering and BCW’s team of experienced engineers to develop cold-cure adhesive knowledge, identify issues with current methods and create innovative treatment methods for optimal bonding within the existing regulatory framework.
BCW Treatments are an internationally focused company who provide innovative and sustainable solutions to address challenges in the surface engineering sector. Working at BCW in conjunction with the University of Leeds will give you the opportunity to work closely with industrial and commercial partners in a diverse and multifaceted environment producing impactful and creative outputs.
