Summary
Environmental Compliance Manager
Ludlow (Office Based)
Up to £40,000 DOE + Occasional Site Travel for Surveys + 28 Days Holiday including Bank Holidays + 1 Extra holiday per year of service up to 5 + Buy/Sell Holiday Scheme + Private Health Care + Death in Service Scheme + Company Shares Following Probation
Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm (Some flexibility required).
Environmental Compliance Manager required for a market leading company who offer a varied role within the Agriculture and Waste Management sectors.
This is a great opportunity for someone who cares about the environment to work within the renewable energy sector, supporting sites across the UK and Ireland.
The Environmental Compliance Manager Role:
• Developing and maintaining the Company Environmental Management Systems and co-ordinate environmental matter within the Company office and Client Sites.
• Establish, implement and maintain the company Environmental Management System in accordance with the requirements of ISO14001.
• Support and advise clients.
• To conduct environmental aspect/impact assessment and advise on improvements required to existing work practices to meet legal obligations and conform to best practice.
• To take proactive actions towards the prevention of environmental incidents and to conduct investigations into incidents that may occur.
• To help assess supplier and sub-contractor applications and through Company procedures review their continuing competency in environmental management.
• To maintain the Company Environmental Management System records.
• Carry out assessments of internal audits and conduct site assessments.
The Successful Environmental Compliance Manager:
• Environmental Qualification or similar to Degree level, above or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of Anaerobic Digestion and Biogas Technology.
