Job Description
Coordinate, direct and undertake the activities in the running of small, independent wholesale jewellery establishment.
Qualification
There are no formal academic entry requirements. Experience of working in Gems and Jewellery sector is required.
Duties
Define the market position for the business, forecast demand and develop the brand image of the business.
Provide information about merchandise to staff and customers and ensure customer complaints are appropriately dealt with. Ensure that adequate reserves of merchandise are held and order new stock as required.
Maintain financial and other shop records and control security arrangements for the premises.
Authorise payment for supplies received and examine quality of merchandise and ensure that effective use is made of advertising and display facilities.
