Hours: 36 per week
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to join the Digital Education Team as an ICT Officer (System and Support Administrator). This individual will work closely with colleagues from Education Services, Digital Services and IT partner providers. The Digital Education Team provide system support and developments to the education estate. Support is provided to Early Years, Primary, Secondary, Special and wider education teams.
We are looking for an individual who has a keen interest in digital technologies that support learning and teaching. Prior experience in the provision of support for education technologies is preferred. The Digital Education Team works with a range of systems and supports a broad customer base, as such we are looking for an individual who is skilled in balancing multiple support demands.
The ICT Officer (System Support) will work in a hybrid manner. Support may be provided to educational settings remotely or occasionally via a site visit. ICT Officers may work from the Digital Education Team office, from home or on site at various CEC schools/EY settings.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.

Requirements
Qualifications, training & professional membership
- The post holder should be qualified to SQA Level or equivalent in an appropriate subject(s), however, suitable compensating experience in a relevant field would also be appropriate
Essential - Qualification in IT Development or Service Management (such as ITIL)
Desirable - SVQ4 level or equivalent in an appropriate discipline.
