An exciting opportunity has arisen in Central London Community Healthcare, Speech and Language Therapy Service to join our Early Years team in delivering a service to the Boroughs of Westminster, Hammersmith and Fulham and Kensington and Chelsea. We provide comprehensive assessment and therapy packages for pre-school children with a range of speech, language, and communication needs.

This is an excellent opportunity foran innovative and creative Speech and Language Therapy Assistant with very good communication skills to work as part of ourhighly skilled, dynamic and supportiveEarly Years Speech and Language Therapy team.

To develop and implement programmes of support to children and families under the direction of the Speech and Language Therapy line managerandteam, to promotedevelopmentof communication,language, speech skills forpreschoolchildren and young people

Toassistthespeechandlanguagetherapistsinassessments,takingobservationsofchildren’scommunication skills e.g.social communication,play,attention,understanding,languageandspeech.

To run groups with the speech and language therapists.



To plan and deliver,under the supervision ofthe Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, health promotion activities,workshopsandprogrammes of education/ therapy practicefor familiesand early years practitioners

To supportSLTs with preparation for delivery of training including room bookings, managing promotion of courses, managing applications and attendees’queries, preparation and copying training materials and training room set up.

To provide advice to others regarding the development of early language and communication skills
